About these terms
These terms apply when you use switchity.co.uk. The site is owned and operated by Switchity Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 14331601, at Pendleton Grove, Birmingham, West Midlands, B27 7LT. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

What Switchity is, and is not
Switchity is an independent comparison service for broadband, mobile and SIM only deals. We gather deals from providers, show you what is available at your address, and let you compare them side by side. The service is free to use.
We are not a broadband or mobile provider, a retailer, or anyone's agent. When you choose a deal you are taken to the provider's own website, and any contract you enter is between you and that provider. We are not a party to it. The provider is responsible for the service, the price you are charged, and your consumer rights, including your right to cancel.
The information on this site is there to help you decide for yourself. It is not financial or legal advice, and it does not take account of your personal circumstances.
How we make money
When you take out a deal after clicking through from Switchity, the provider pays us a commission. That is our only source of income and it is why the site is free. Commission does not affect the order in which deals appear. Every ranking is calculated by the same rules for every provider, and no provider can pay to appear higher. The How We Compare page explains exactly how results are ranked and which providers we cover.
We plant trees for every switch made through the site. That is our own commitment, funded from our commission. It is not a term of your contract with the provider.
Prices and other information
Deal information comes from a live data feed and is refreshed several times a day. We take reasonable care to show it accurately, but providers can change prices, offers and availability at any time, and a page you are looking at may have been generated before a change. The price and terms on the provider's own website at the time you order are the ones that apply. Please check them before you buy.
Where we show a figure we have calculated, such as effective monthly cost or total contract cost, it is based on the assumptions set out on How We Compare. Speeds are the provider's advertised average speeds. Availability at your address is an estimate from the provider's data until the provider confirms it.
We aim to cover a large share of the UK market but we do not compare every provider or every deal. Providers who wish to be listed can contact us.
Calculators and tools
Our calculators, such as the early termination fee calculator and the download speed calculator, give estimates based on published formulas and the figures you enter. They are not quotes. Your provider's actual charges may differ, and you should confirm any fee with your provider before acting on it.
Using the site
You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- copy, scrape or harvest content or deal data by automated means, or reproduce our comparisons commercially
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, our servers or our data partners' systems
- introduce malware, overload the site, or otherwise interfere with how it works
- use the site for anything unlawful

Intellectual property
The text, design, code, data compilations and branding on this site belong to Switchity Limited or our licensors. Provider names and logos belong to the providers. You may view, print or save pages for your personal use. Any other use needs our written permission.
Where we publish a dataset under an open licence, such as our UK broadband coverage data, the licence stated on that page applies to that dataset and takes priority over this section.
Third-party services and links
Parts of the site rely on other companies. Deal data and the mobile comparison tool are supplied by Stickee. Energy comparison is provided by The Energy Shop through a separate service. Our speed test is provided by Ookla. Links to providers, Ofcom and other organisations take you to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any third-party site, and their own terms and privacy policies apply while you use them.
Our responsibility to you
We provide the site with reasonable care and skill. Because it is a free information service, we cannot promise it will always be available, error free or complete.
We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any provider, or for any loss that results from relying on a price or offer without checking it on the provider's website. We are not liable for business losses, or for any loss that was not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time. We may also update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.
Complaints and disputes
If something has gone wrong with our service, our Complaints page explains how to tell us and what happens next. We acknowledge complaints within three working days. If your complaint is about a provider, that page also explains how to complain to the provider and, if needed, escalate to the independent dispute resolution scheme the provider belongs to.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute about them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
