Mobile deal data is fetched live from our data platform each time you search or filter, so listings reflect the latest information networks have supplied. Prices and offers can change and may occasionally differ on the network's own website; the network's checkout price is the one that applies. Coverage and speeds vary by network and location, so check Ofcom's mobile coverage checker before you switch. We compare deals from a significant share of the UK market, but no comparison site covers every deal from every network. See how we compare for the networks we include and how results are ranked.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max was Apple's top phone for 2023, and that is exactly why it makes sense now: a former flagship at a friendlier price. You still get a 6.7-inch OLED screen, a 48MP triple camera with a telephoto lens, and a large battery. Deals start from £32.00 a month.

Key features
With an older flagship, the maths matters more than ever. Sort the deals above by effective monthly cost so a tempting headline rate with a heavy upfront fee does not catch you out. Pick a data allowance that suits how much you actually use, and a contract length you are comfortable seeing through. Because this is a previous-generation phone, refurbished and SIM-free routes can be especially good value, so weigh those against a fresh contract.
The standout feature is the telephoto lens. As part of a 48MP triple camera, it gives you real optical zoom that the standard 15 cannot match, which is handy for distant subjects and portraits. The 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR screen is large, bright and detailed for video and reading, and the 12MP front camera covers selfies and calls. For a phone of this age, the camera system still holds up well in daily use.
Being honest about age is the right starting point: this is a 2023 phone running iOS 17, so it sits a few generations behind the newest models and has fewer years of updates left. That said, it remains plenty fast for everyday apps and most games. Battery is a real strength, with a large 4,852 mAh cell that comfortably lasts a full day. The switch to USB-C also means easier, more universal charging.
The iPhone 15 shares the 48MP main camera but lacks the telephoto zoom and the Pro Max's larger screen and battery. If you rarely zoom and want to spend less, the standard 15 makes sense. If optical zoom, the bigger display or longer runtime appeal, the Pro Max justifies its higher price even now, particularly at older-flagship rates.
256GB is the entry size and suits most people, with space for apps, photos and downloads. Choose 512GB if you keep large video libraries or games stored locally. There is no card slot, so you cannot expand later, which makes the upfront choice the one that sticks.

Our verdict
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is a smart way to get a genuine flagship camera and a big battery for less, provided you accept it is an older phone with a shorter update runway.

Every successful switch through Switchity plants two trees through our verified reforestation partner, Ecologi. A mature tree takes up about 22 kg of CO₂ a year, according to the European Environment Agency. Once grown, the 450 trees our switchers have funded could absorb around 9,900 kg of CO₂ a year.
Pay-monthly iPhone 15 Pro Max deals start from £32.00 a month. The exact amount depends on your data allowance, contract length and any upfront cost. Compare the live deals above and sort by effective monthly cost to judge the true average across the full contract rather than the opening rate.
Yes. The iPhone 15 Pro Max supports 5G on every UK network, giving you faster mobile data wherever 5G is available. In areas without it, data falls back to 4G automatically, so you keep a workable connection across most of the country.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is sold in 256GB and 512GB. There is no memory-card slot, so the capacity you choose is final. Opt for 512GB if you film a lot of high-resolution video or keep large games and offline media on the phone itself.
Both share the 48MP main camera, but the iPhone 15 drops the telephoto zoom and uses a smaller screen and battery. Pick the standard 15 to save money if you rarely zoom. Choose the Pro Max for optical zoom, the larger display and longer battery life.
A contract spreads the handset cost across the term and bundles your data into one bill. Buying SIM-free and adding a SIM-only plan is often cheaper overall and more flexible, though you pay upfront. With an older flagship, refurbished and SIM-free options can be especially worth comparing.
Refurbished iPhone 15 Pro Max deals appear in the comparison when networks stock them. A refurbished handset is tested and graded, and costs less than new. Because this is a previous-generation phone, refurbished stock is often more plentiful, so check the filters above for current availability.
