Mobile deal data is fetched live from our data platform each time you search or filter, so listings reflect the latest information networks have supplied. Prices and offers can change and may occasionally differ on the network's own website; the network's checkout price is the one that applies. Coverage and speeds vary by network and location, so check Ofcom's mobile coverage checker before you switch. We compare deals from a significant share of the UK market, but no comparison site covers every deal from every network. See how we compare for the networks we include and how results are ranked.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL is Google's big-screen flagship, built around a 6.8-inch display, a 50MP triple rear camera and Google's advanced AI features. It runs Android 15 and packs a 5060 mAh battery. Pay-monthly deals start from £45.00 a month, with every price-rise schedule shown so you compare on real cost.

Key features
Two figures set the real cost: the monthly price and any upfront fee. A low monthly with a big upfront can total more than a flat deal, so sort by effective monthly cost to compare like for like. Pick a data allowance that matches how much you actually use rather than the largest on offer, and a contract length you are happy to keep. If you already own a phone you like, a SIM-only plan tends to work out cheaper.
The 6.8-inch display gives you plenty of room for video, games and reading, and it is one of the bigger screens in the flagship class. The 50MP triple rear camera handles everyday shots well, and Google's advanced AI features help with editing and tidying up photos. The 42MP front camera is a step above the usual selfie lens, so video calls and self-portraits come out crisp.
This is a premium handset, so day-to-day apps, browsing and games run smoothly. The 5060 mAh battery is generous and should see most people comfortably through a full day, with lighter users stretching further. It runs Android 15 out of the box and supports 5G across UK networks. At 221 g it is on the heavier side, which is worth noting if you prefer a lighter phone in the pocket.
If the big screen and the higher-end camera setup are not must-haves, the cheaper Pixel 9a covers the basics for a lot less. The Pro XL earns its price if you want the largest display, the 50MP triple camera and the 42MP selfie lens. Choose the Pro XL only if those extras genuinely match how you use a phone, otherwise the savings elsewhere are hard to ignore.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL comes in 128GB. That is enough for apps, photos and a reasonable number of downloads for most people, but heavy users who keep large video libraries on the device may feel the squeeze. There is no memory-card slot, so you cannot add space later. Lean on cloud backup to keep the device clear.

Our verdict
The Pixel 9 Pro XL is the Pixel to pick if you want the biggest screen and the full camera setup, but the cheaper Pixel 9a covers the essentials for far less if you do not.

Every successful switch through Switchity plants two trees through our verified reforestation partner, Ecologi. A mature tree takes up about 22 kg of CO₂ a year, according to the European Environment Agency. Once grown, the 450 trees our switchers have funded could absorb around 9,900 kg of CO₂ a year.

Yes. The Pixel 9 Pro XL supports 5G on every UK network, so you get the fastest available mobile data wherever there is 5G coverage. In everyday use that means quicker downloads, smoother streaming and faster page loads when you are out and about.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL comes in 128GB. There is no memory-card slot, so you cannot add more space later. If you store a lot of video or large games on the device, lean on cloud backup to keep things clear.
Buy the Pixel 9a if you want a Pixel for less and can live without the biggest screen and the top camera setup. Choose the Pro XL if the 6.8-inch display, 50MP triple camera and 42MP selfie lens genuinely match how you use your phone.
A contract spreads the handset cost over your term and bundles your data. Buying SIM-free and adding a SIM-only plan is often cheaper overall and more flexible, but you pay for the phone upfront. Compare the total cost of both before you decide.
Refurbished Pixel 9 Pro XL deals appear in the comparison when networks stock them. A refurbished handset costs less than new and is tested and graded, though availability varies. Use the deal filters above to see what is currently available.
