How Good is Broadband in Ealing?

Ealing has four broadband networks: Openreach's full fibre, Virgin Media, Hey Broadband and Community Fibre. Which ones you get depends on your street.

Full fibre reaches 77% of homes across the London Borough of Ealing, below the UK average, but Virgin Media's cable fills much of the gap with gigabit speeds. The borough stretches from Northolt and Perivale in the west to Park Royal in the east.

In Hanwell and West Ealing, most streets have Hey Broadband alongside Virgin Media's older cable, with Community Fibre on the streets down towards Elthorne as well. Northfields and the streets around Walpole Park have the same Hey Broadband and Virgin Media pairing.

Further out, Southall and the west of Greenford are where Virgin Media has built full fibre rather than cable, with Community Fibre alongside it. Acton has Virgin Media's cable on most streets and Community Fibre on its eastern side.
