How Good is Broadband in Rugby?

Rugby has three networks overlapping across most of the town: Openreach fibre at 79% of premises, CityFibre, which takes independent coverage to 69%, and Virgin Media at 61%. Full fibre reaches 95% of premises, above the UK average, and gigabit availability 96%.

Fewer than one in 100 premises still relies on copper-only ADSL. The figures cover the whole borough, including the surrounding villages.

The town centre, New Bilton and Eastlands have all three networks on most streets. Overslade and Bilton to the south-west are the same, as are Hillmorton to the east and Brownsover to the north.

Houlton, the new development on the town's eastern edge, has Virgin Media's fibre to the home but no CityFibre. Long Lawford has Virgin's newest fibre build, also without CityFibre. Wolston has both CityFibre and Virgin Media, while Dunchurch has CityFibre with little Virgin Media.
